All terms laid down by KEK as well as our terms of service are subject to be applied for using the KEK CLOUD service. Especially pay attention to terms for information security and personal information. KEK terms will control in the event of any discrepancies with our terms.

KEK CLOUD policies
Our Terms of Service cover your use and access to our services, client software, and websites. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect your information while our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines your responsibilities when using the service.
Acceptable Use
You are responsible for your stuff and your conduct, and you must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The rule stipulated in Article 4.3 of KEK Security Policy; "Information and Information system should be used only for the purpose of our mission." shall be cardinally applied to use the service.
KEK CLOUD may only be used to store
CATEGORY-1 data is defined as followings:
- Address book listing name, sex, affiliation, and mail address only
- Personal file recording only owner's information
- Personal information files of less than 300 persons, that includes only personal information written in business cards (name, affiliation, title, sex, office address and phone number, fax, email address).
- Information of less than 300 persons, publicly available like content of Researchmap, KAKEN, etc..
Content in the services may be protected by others' intellectual property rights. Please don't copy, upload, download, or share content unless you have the right to do so.
Security
Please safeguard your password to the services and make sure that others do not have access to it. If you share a computer and do not want to others to have access to your KEK CLOUD data, sign out of your KEK CLOUD account when you are finished using the computer. Choose an appropriate sharing setting for your files, folders and KEK CLOUD documents. Encrypt or protect with a password any confidential files before uploading.
Closing your KEK CLOUD account
Only KEK faculty, engineer, staff, and paid researchers are eligible for using KEK CLOID. When you loose eligibility, your account will be void any longer. Before the expiration of your account, move your data from KEK CLOUD to other devices.
